"What really gives me personal satisfaction and a sense of purpose is the ability to serve. And I talk about service in many forms—serving customers, serving my co-workers, serving the community. And when you have a greater sense of purpose, the quality of work improves. Customers are happy, employees are happy and the business thrives."
Management
Our leaders help us straddle the knowing-doing gap—the difference between putting up a mission statement on the wall and the reality of having each and every employee embrace and carry out the company’s principles—integrity, practical innovation and service mindedness.
A master technologist, Shail has held positions at Sperry Univac, Eastman Kodak, and Data General. In 1992, disenchanted with corporate politics and the sense that people were being treated as a mere commodity in the workplace, Shail and his wife, Sucheta Jain, founded IIS to build a company based on their principles and values.

Like Shail, employed at large corporations like Eastman Kodak Company and Data General, Sucheta was frustrated with the lack of satisfaction found in the workplace.

"Our ambition is to help each and every person meet their own goals, whether it’s our customer, our receptionist or one of our senior strategists. No matter how much money people make, no matter how great their benefits are, at the end of the day, people are happy when they feel they are meeting their own goals, when they are growing as people."
One of the company’s first employees, Jeff has a broad business background in marketing, sales and operations. But for the past decade, he has found his calling working with local governments.

"Local governments are under tremendous pressure to be extremely efficient and to make the most out of their limited resources. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping our local government leaders meet these challenging expectations."
