Leaders in Transforming Local Government Technology

Our management team includes some of the best thinkers in the local government software industry. Our leaders’ vision is to create and deliver public sector software that solves the real problems plaguing local governments.

Shail Jain, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

A master technologist, Shail has held positions at Sperry Univac, Eastman Kodak, and Data General. In 1992, disenchanted with corporate politics and the sense that people were being treated as a mere commodity in the workplace, Shail and his wife, Sucheta Jain, founded IIS to build a company based on their principles and values.

Shail Jain

"What really gives me personal satisfaction and a sense of purpose is the ability to serve. And I talk about service in many forms—serving customers, serving my co-workers, serving the community. And when you have a greater sense of purpose, the quality of work improves. Customers are happy, employees are happy and the business thrives."

Sucheta Jain, Chief Operating Officer

Like Shail, employed at large corporations like Eastman Kodak Company and Data General, Sucheta was frustrated with the lack of satisfaction found in the workplace.

Sucheta Jain

"Our ambition is to help each and every person meet their own goals, whether it’s our customer, our receptionist or one of our senior strategists. No matter how much money people make, no matter how great their benefits are, at the end of the day, people are happy when they feel they are meeting their own goals, when they are growing as people."

Bill Campbell (GISP), Vice President of Local Government Solutions

Bill, an original co-founder of Farragut Systems, is a nationally-recognized GIS and IT professional with over 25 years experience in the implementation, integration and sales of GIS and systems integration solutions. He is the author of over 100 presentations and articles and is very active in national GIS organizations. He is the current Committee Chair of the Integrating GIS and CAMA Conference, jointly sponsored by URISA and IAAO.

Bill Campbell

"GIS is simply an amazingly flexible and powerful tool. I’ve been working with GIS solutions in one form or another for over 25 years, and I believe we’ve only yet begun to tap its potential. Take counties and cities, for example, where just about every piece of data is somehow tied to a location. Our vision is to help counties organize, analyze and access their data using GIS as a central point of integration."

Jeff McDonald, Vice President of Local Government Solutions

One of the company’s first employees, Jeff has a broad business background in marketing, sales and operations. But for the past decade, he has found his calling working with local governments.

Jeff McDonald

"Local governments are under tremendous pressure to be extremely efficient and to make the most out of their limited resources. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping our local government leaders meet these challenging expectations."

Mike Wierzbinski, Vice President of Technology

Mike co-founded Farragut Systems in 1994 and served as President and Chief Technologist through 2007. Throughout his career, Mike has specialized in system integration and the use of technology to bridge the gaps between people, applications and systems. In his current role, he focuses on the identification of technical solutions to emerging customer needs.  Mike brings a unique combination of customer focus, conceptual architectural skills, and hands-on software development experience to FARRAGUT’s products and services.

Mike Wierzbinski

"Our goal is to create compelling solutions to real customer problems. Technology is just a vehicle that makes this possible."

Gregory Anderson, Product Strategist

Greg has almost 30 years of leadership experience in both private and public sector technology. With his strong understanding of the business issues driving software development, he is an accomplished product strategist. Greg leads product strategy, software analysis, network implementation and integration and project evaluations. Previously, he worked as the Director of IT for Broomfield, CO, where he oversaw the opening of a new county government.

Greg Anderson

"While putting the technical environment in place to create a new county government in Broomfield, I gained a deep understanding of the need for technology integration. The FARRAGUT folks I worked with had a unique grasp of both GIS and enterprise integration. The potential to use GIS as an integrating technology for local government was so compelling, I decided to join FARRAGUT to help other organizations realize these same benefits."
