Integrated Parcel Maintenance

Farragut's Integrated Parcel Maintenance (IPM) is an integrated application that provides the ability to maintain parcels simultaneously in both a Geographic Information System (GIS) and Land Records/Computer-Aided Mass Appraisal (CAMA) through a common map-based interface. IPM facilitates data entry by combining standard ArcMAP map editing tools and IPM's specialized parcel maintenance tools with existing Land Records CAMA Systems. IPM also includes the Workflow Manager, which shows sequence and status of tasks that need to be completed for a particular transaction (e.g., parcel splits, subdivisions).

IPM is being used at numerous counties throughout the United States, including such well-known entities as Wake County, NC and Boulder County, CO.

Analytical Mapping Interface - GIS and CAMA Integration

The Analytical Mapping Interface (AMI) is designed to be tightly integrated with CAMA systems and provides appraisers with visualization capabilities that are vastly superior to those available from other vendors. Among the advantages that AMI provides are:

- Real-time integration - appraisers can make modifications to CAMA attributes and immediately see the affects of those changes displayed on a map.

- Bi-directional integration between GIS and CAMA. This allows the user to use the map as a selection interface, where they can geographically identify properties that they want to affect and call functions from within the CAMA system to make changes.

- Interactive Web Interface - AMI makes extensive use of some of the newer technologies such as AJAX to provide a more 'interactive' mapping experience. AMI provides the central deployment and administration functions of a web interface while making the map more responsive to user input.

- Dynamic symbology which allows users finer-grained control over what they see and how they want to see it.

AMI has been integrated with the North Carolina state tax system (NCACC) to provide Appraisers and Assessors with a robust GIS and CAMA analytical environment.
